I have grown up in the avocado industry my whole life through my family’s 2 nd generation avocado farm in Blackbutt QLD, working both on farm and in the packhouse. At 19 years old after a lot of challenges for our family, I started to learn the ins and outs of operating the Compac packing machine and managing the packhouse crew. After selling in 2023, I moved on to a packhouse in Childers QLD as a manager and machine operator. The managing role of packhouse manager can be demanding at times but I am very excited for the challenges and the experience that Sunnyspot packhouse has to offer. I am also excited to interact with the other growers and the staff.
