I was working on Sunnyspot Farm prior to the Boardman’s purchasing the property in 1999. At that time, it was an all-girl team looking after Avocados & Fuji Fruit with Passionfruit being planted later. In the beginning I spent a lot of time working both farm and packhouse however when the packhouse grew and began packing avocados for other growers I was moved into many other roles. Starting as a grader for 6 years to then learn the roles of the floor to assist the manager at the time. I moved into the role of Packhouse Manager in June 2011. The Manager’s role is very demanding, but I enjoy the challenge. I work closely with Daryl and The Avolution (Our Marketers) to get the best results possible for our growers. I also enjoy interacting with the growers and ever-changing packing staff.
